Lovely little hole-in-the wall!
Staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and they have a great selection of wines and whiskey.
We love Rubens! The knowledgeable staff help you find exactly what you are in the mood for - even if you don't quite know what that is! I've tried some great wines, beers, gins and rums here over the years.
There is also a lovely cat who may choose you and come and sleep on you! I never ate here so can't comment on the bar snacks (cheese, olives, etc) but it is a high quality place so I would be amazed if it's not good!

I was reluctant about sharing this hidden gem on Google, but it is a must go to if you are into wine, whiskey or alcoholic drinks in general. Wim and his colleagues are so nice and helpful. Five star bar for me
This place is amazing! The service is really good, they are really patient and always willing to help with choices. Huge list of good wines, some few options for food it’s more like some cheese, sausage and snacks. I would say it’s the perfect place to go to spend some time talking with friends.
Incredible flavours, super friendly and knowledgeable gentlemen behind the counter (hi, Wim!) and an enviable collection of bottled delights. Do try the cheese and sausage board. The quality and flavours will blow your mind and bring peace to your senses.
Rubens is a complete gem of the city. If you are looking for a cozy intimate bar with knowledgeable staff and special drinks. I would highly recommend going for a nightcap. My boyfriend and I regularly stop here after a walk around the city. Nice selection of gins and port, away from the noisy city.
Great place with a wide variety of wines. The winetasting course is a must-go! The owner and his staff have a very high understanding of the diffrent tastes and can also scientifically prove their point.
Great hist, amazing wines and best selection of fine spirits that I know of, for such a small cozy place at the edge of city center. Rubens knowledge of his products is excellent and he can advise you of something new to drink. Cognac, whiskey, rum, gin, calvados, armagnac, wine and finger food. Highly recommended! Bring a few friends and the place is yours. Two tables, a bar and a great hist is really all that you need.
A very nice drinking experience. We did a whisky tasting and the owner made this an unforgettable, informative and highly entertaining evening! Highly recommended.
